Arctic Hike to Blue lake
Discover the hidden jewel of the Lyngen Alps – Blåisvatnet or Blue Ice Lake, a short and easy hike suitable for young and old.
The hike runs on flat and easy terrain for the first kilometer, then the trail continues on uneven terrain with many rocks, during the last 200m you will have to climb over several larger rocks and boulders.

About our tour
Discover the hidden gem of the Lyngen Alps mountain range – Blaisvannet or the Blue Ice Lake is a short and easy hike suitable for young and old.
The journey starts here
We start our journey when we pick you up in a comfortable Mercedes V-Class from your hotel, and drive to the Lyngen mountain range (approx. 90 minutes). The trip inlcudes a short ferry crossing Our certified guide will give you safety instructions before starting the activity and entertain you with stories about the area during the ride. Keep an eye out for some local Arctic wildlife such as reindeers, eagles or hares!
Stunning Arctic Scenery
Take your time and enjoy every step in the pristine Arctic nature before reaching the mountain top for a stunning view and the marvelous blue hues of the Blue Ice Lake. Listen to the silence of the Arctic wilderness and enjoy the beauty around you.
During our break at the top you can rest and refuel with lunch and snacks. After accomplishing our mission of making Arctic memories, we will drive you safely back to your hotel and send your photos to you in a digital album.
A hike that is suitable for everyone with a moderate fitness level
The highest point is 189m and the hike is about 90 to 120 minutes one way. The trip takes place in easy flat terrain for the first kilometer, then the trail continues on uneven ground with lots of rocks, for the last 200m you will have to climb over a number of rocks and larger stones. The trip is perfect for people that are use to do hikes. Moderate walk.
