What does Northern Norway Travel do to ensure trips are running safely?

We have built a layer of protections and would like to ask you to follow our recommendations. We have reduced the number of guests on our tours, providing hand sanitiser, and highly recommend to keep a safe distance, or wear a face mask. Please respect and follow the current rules and recommendations, as it is important to control infection measures. We aim to keep our guests, our team and the community safe.

We are also following the Adventure Travel Trade Associations Covid-19 Health & Safety Guidelines.

What can I do to stay safe and to keep those around me safe?

Please respect and follow recommendations, and listen to your guide when they remind you of the current rules before your tour.

Keep a safe distance during your travel to Tromsø, use facemask where recommended. Good hand hygiene is important, either wash your hand regularly or use hand sanitiser.

Remember to follow the health and safety regulations throughout your travel, also bear in mind that in Norway rules vary in regions.

Do I still have to wear facemask on trips?

We follow all government and local authority requirements, and to build an extra layer of protection, we recommend you to wear a face mask, when social distancing is not possible. For example, we have reduced the number of guests on our tours, but when transportation we recommend all our guests to wear a mask. Also, during museum visit please note that some museums are small and keeping a safe distance may be difficult.

You can bring your own facemask, or if you have forgotten, we sell reusable high quality fabric face masks in our shop, at Tromsø Havn Prostneset, Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008.

Are there any changes in group sizes in response to Covid-19?

Currently we offer private tailor-made tours or small group travel with a minimum of 4 passengers, and we have reduced our group size to a maximum of 12 passengers in order to have a safe distance during transport.  Our tours are based on small group adventures, with a maximum group size of 12 travelers, and as a result carry less inherent risk of COVID-19.

How we manage physical distancing on tours?

Depending on the tour you book, for tours that require transportation, we have reduced our group size to maximum of 12 to ensure safe social distance on our tours. During museum visit please remember to keep a safe distance or wear a face mask.
